A versatile finance and management executive with more than 30 years of relevant experience, Gary D. Herwitz currently serves as the Managing Partner at CoMetrics Partners LLC in New York City. Over the span of his career, Gary D. Herwitz has held a wide range of roles working with companies of highly diversified interests, building a solid professional track record in the process. After high school, Gary D. Herwitz attended Syracuse University in Upstate New York, where from September 1973 through May 1977 he dual majored in Accounting and Transportation & Distribution Management.. An outstanding student at Syracuse, Gary D. Herwitz won entry into Beta Alpha Psi, the Accounting Honor Society and graduated on Deans List in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Accounting and Transportation & Distribution Management. Following Syracuse, Gary D. Herwitz moved to New York City to launch his career, securing an entry-level position with Mahoney Cohen & Company, CPA, PC, one of the premier accounting and professional services organizations in the United States.

At Mahoney Cohen & Company, Gary D. Herwitz quickly demonstrated his potential as a leader and finance professional, servicing the needs of numerous high-profile clients in and around the New York region. Gary D. Herwitz launched the firms consulting practice assisting middle market companies with their operational and technology requirements. Gary D. Herwitz also launched the firms’ insolvency and creditor rights practice. As a result of his consistent and exemplary performance with Mahoney Cohen & Company, Gary D. Herwitz earned a succession of promotions at the firm and was ultimately named President in 1997. For the next eight years, Gary D. Herwitz provided both material and philosophical stewardship for Mahoney Cohen & Company, helping Mahoney Cohen grow to one of the largest accounting and professional services firm in the US. Mahoney Cohen ultimately sold the firm to CBIZ Inc. a NYSE publicly traded accounting and professional services organization. At the end of his tenure with Mahoney Cohen & Company, Gary D.
